I think this is the fewest number of words I've seen in one of your songs. They're all good, or course. The acoustic mood is peaceful and comforting. BGVs sound good; I like when they split into two part.

Lovely mandolin (you’ve been holding out on us! 😊) The tone and your choice of notes was excellent. And kudos re the D-18.
Having played in bluegrass bands for years we have a special love of the mando and D-18. (Janice has a nice example of each).

Joliz’s harmony accents add so much character to your so fitting vocal.

We like subtle “connect your own dots” lyrics and this is an excellent one.
Great mix and thanks for the production info.

We much enjoyed it!

PS: The relationship comparison to a downed pilot reminded us, on a very peripheral note, of our recent learning about a barely known lady (Andrée de Jongh) who saved many WWII downed pilots in Europe.

nice work... Man I really liked that Martin D-18 and the mando. I think the mando was a few dB too loud but it really did sound good. Tone was right on target.

You played it well. I think I may have to dust off my old mando.... it's a Fender. I'm starting on a new tune and this inspired me to at least investigate the possibility of adding a mando into the song.

My favorite from you in a while.

Great song and addition to the canon you two. Man I can't keep up with all the songs and posting replies from so many good songs on the forum, but I do listen to all of them, for sure, eventually.

smile

I post replies when I can! (Time is what keeps things from happening all at once.)

Great stuff.

Note on my posts: I listen to these wonderful and varied forum songs for pure enjoyment as part of my daily “radio,” in large chunks, while I am out and about. Then I post all my thoughts later, not on the spot. As I do not think the forum is a place for competitiveness, I will shy away from any critiques from now on. I come here for peace, fun and enjoyment only and have no ego or opinions invested. I guess you might say I am a musical Buddhist. Thank you.

Intro was very cool Bob. Lovely vocal and lyric. Mandolin fills perfectly offset the vocals. Jolies harmonies were excellent as well. Spoken word was very cool as well. Well done
