I wasn't on the forum in 2014, but it's good to have you back here. You've created a traditional country song, which I much prefer. Superb vocal. Mix sounds perfect to my ears. As I mentioned in my OP, I've been absent for a while, and I also didn't realize that AI is on everyone's mind these days. But as you point out, music is human and it has to be full of human emotion. Otherwise, it's just artificial.

This is a crystal clear mix and your vocals are perfect for the song! I like the line "EVERY FLOWER WAS BLOOMING FOR THE SUN" as if the inanimate world was expressing human will. Also the line about "TEARS... PREYING ON MY FEARS" anthropomorphizes the tears into an entity with manipulative intent. You have a very interesting way of expressing common ideas in an uncommon way.

Thank you, Pat. And I really appreciate your thoughts and comments about the the lyrics. You've reminded me of a discussion about 'prosody' that took place at a songwriting workshop I attended years ago. What I recall is the idea or convention that lyrics should roll off the tongue the same way the spoken word does. For example, we say 'My friend lives around the corner,' but not 'My friend around the corner lives.' So the latter might be a poor choice in a song, but I definitely break the rule sometimes. Mostly because I can't find a better way of saying something that sounds more natural:)
