Band-in-a-Box VST and Pro Tools/AAX DAW Plugin (Windows)

VST Live (VSTL for short) is a live production VST host made bei Steinberg, comparable to Camelot which has been mentioned elsewhere on this Forum, and others.
I'd like to use the plugin 2025 in VSTL. Loading the plugin and a song, and generating the files works fine. Pressing the play button in the plugin produces the desired sound at the right speed, wonderful. Pressing the play button in VSTL fires the plugin - I can see the bar indicator move but there is no sound. There is another issue which may from the same cause, showing that the communication from VSTL to BiaB may not work properly: I set the BPM value in VSTL to the same as in the plugin, but the plugin still shows the yellow 120 value.
What am I doing wrong?
