It's been some time since we visited the forum. I even had problems logging in.
But there are times in your life you are so busy, that writing your own songs fades into the background. Some of you will recognize this.
We have written a lot of covers for the programs we perform in.

Years ago I had listened to some BIAB demos for inspiration.
And then I heard the midi demo Quiet Willow and got struck by the beautiful guitar part and the additional part ofthe piano.
They were such beautiful melodies and pretty soon the words "Can't stop lovin" came into my mind.
So I decided to turn this into a song. But then a lot of things came in between and asked for our attention.
And I didn't finish it.
Recently Rob said I should. So... now it's finished.

Anne-Marie

Beautiful song and sound. Blissful vocals and harmonies.

Some favourite Waoist Adages:

#58: Bring consciousness to it.
#63: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made.
#92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.

Hi Ann-Marie
I love the chord change moving into each harp section, and also the repetitive singing of the song title.
A refreshing style song!

Anne-Marie I'm glad that Rob said finish this song. I really liked the chord progression and instrumentation. Outstanding arrangement and vocals.
This is a fantastic song.

Ethereal and very cool. Lovely arrangement and fabulous vocals. Nice to be reminded that it doesn't take a lot of instruments to create a rich and full sounding song. Well done!

Oh, yeah, I missed you two. Thanks for the extra push, Ron. Anne-Marie, this is outstanding. Love those vocals, and in particular the responding ones. Beautiful harmony. Yep, can't stop loving this song. So glad you brought this one to us, and I'm quite happy for the folks who get to hear you in the other programs where you perform.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Very engaging, kept me listening closely throughout, both for enjoyment and also for analysis. Most interesting changes! And your vocal arrangement is complex but pleasing. Great work!

Hi Guys,

I'm not going to thank each of you individually, but there's just one big " THANK YOU".
You'll have to share it. laugh
Instead, I've listened to a song of each of you and posted a comment.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Anne-Marie,

Yes, it's been a long time since you've been on the forum. And it's also been a long time since we sang together.
I knew you were very busy, but probably not that busy.
When I saw the title, I thought it was about you and me, especially after your comment on my song with that crazy violinist.
But as I listened, I realized I wasn't that important after all...

Your song has a very classical structure. You can tell by the way you've created all those vocals. Very complex, but beautiful. A lot of work, I think!
Very well done!

Hans

So good to have you back! The multiple vocal parts sound fantastic. I can see where you became inspired by the Quiet Willow demo. It's such a beautiful piece.
