Some of your best lyrics. The music just carries them to the listener, but the listener must LISTEN, here, otherwise the story can go by him, if he's not paying attention ... much like the events you describe in the lyrics, if that makes any kind of sense.

"Her hair was blowing like it found its freedom
The city shimmered a restless backdrop
We talked of dreams we had and dreams we’d lost"

Been there.

"I saw a reflection that I couldn’t hold
A moment gone as the wind turned cold"

Yep - been there, too.

"Caught in the glow of a fleeting view
City lights blurred like dreams we outgrew
We’re drifting through moments we can’t reclaim
Like strangers with stories no need for names

Through the spiral halls we drifted slow
Each step we took felt like letting go
She whispered stories I’d never known
Of places she'd seen and the nights alone"

Yes ... been there, too ... and wow. What writing.

How on Earth can you be so descriptive, evocative, observe and paint the most hidden details in a scene in your lyrics, and wrap them up in such understated, captivating and storytelling music? That, I don't know, I may never quite know. But ... wow.

You're killing me softly with this song, Bob - because you're taking me to decades ago, when I experienced something like this myself. Difference between me and you is quite simply this, though: YOU can write (music and lyrics) about something like this to a level that most of us will never reach. Your ability to notice detail, the poetry in each detail, and poetically frame and immortalise it in music and lyric writing leaves me ... speechless.

I've tried to quote some of your lyrics, this time, but - honestly - each line is incredible. As for the music: 'nuff said. Oh, one more word: superb guitar.

A joy to listen - thanks for sharing.
