A subject of much discussion in the early days. There are actually two ways to route the chord chart to a utility track. The one you describe results in the midi being static and not changing with changes to the chord track without repeating the process of writting the track. Just as you describe. There is a second way to do this. Go to Options Preferences - Output chords and select the Write Chords to track Option. Set the tract to send the chords. Thats it. The track will now be dynamic, not static and will changes as you change the chords. Keep in mind you will need to turn this feature off when you don't want this happening.
