This is driving me nuts.
I work in Real Band. When I save, it takes forever, but eventually it does save.
Then I get this weird error saying in effect that I can't rename the file or something. Well, I'm NOT renaming the file. I give it an original name. I get the renaming error anyway which doesn't make sense.

That's only half the problem. When I get done saving a lot of times I get told that I have to reboot because there has been some sort of error. When I do reboot I get a legacy version of my file. In other words, the work I did over the previous hour magically disappears. I am left with an old version, and all my work appears to be gone.

In looking at the files in Explorer something interesting appears. The file I am opening is relatively small, but there is a TMP file right next to it that is much larger.

Tonight for example I saved a file called "How Little_1.SEQ". That file is 82,294 K. Right next to that file is "How Little_1.TMP. That file is 186,147k. The former file was made at 8:00 PM, i.e. a long while ago. The TMP file was saved a few minutes ago, almost an HOUR after the legacy file.

So it seems that these two files are somehow linked, and I'm not getting to see all the additional work which I assume must be on the TMP file.

This is just me making a pile of assumptions. Maybe there is another explanation. Just seems weird that I am always thrown back to an old file version every time.

P.S. After I wrote the above I went back to review the save error. This is what it says. I took out some personal stuff as shown in brackets:

"Error renaming C\Users\[me]\[my cloud storage]\Music\Select Band in a Box Files\How little We Know\How Little_1.TMP to C\Users\[me]\[my cloud storage]\Music\Select Band in a Box Files\How Little We Know\How Little_1.SEQ"
