Great one guys! Really exciting song, and captivating performances. Thanks!

Note on my posts: I listen to these wonderful and varied forum songs for pure enjoyment as part of my daily “radio,” in large chunks, while I am out and about. Then I post all my thoughts later, not on the spot. As I do not think the forum is a place for competitiveness, I will shy away from any critiques from now on. I come here for peace, fun and enjoyment only and have no self-absorbed opinions invested. I guess you might say I am a musical Buddhist. Thanks!

Know we're not hearing any BiaB, but this is fabulous, guys!

Thanks, Ron smile As far as the vocal goes I haven't been singing very long and haven't sung many songs yet, so I'm not at all confident in my abilities. So I tend to try and add stuff to the vocal, such as distortion, to mask it. Was not going for a kazoo effect mind you! eek

Very cool intro Dave. That really setup the song. Loved the vocal and lyric. Excellent groove. Marty sure plays some cool bassline. Well done

Listened to a lot of ZZ Top back in the day. Thanks!

Hi, Dave.

This sounds great. Nothing more to say. laugh

Although, sort of related... Your comment about the video reminded me of a Beatles video I was watching the other day. They had a publicity film shoot for a song they'd already finished, so Paul insisted they work on another song during the filming, instead of wasting the time. So by the end of the shoot they'd basically polished off a new song. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Dave.

You and Marty tick every single box with this one! It's a brilliant creation. The trio sound that you've put together is amazing. Listening to it on speakers, it felt like I was in the room with the two of you. All the above high praise is very well deserved indeed!

Brilliant stuff!

A fantastic rock blues song as in a ZZTop song.
As always outstanding guitar and bass chops.
The vocal was perfect.
Great mix.
Loved it.

Appreciate that, Mario!

A few days ago, I listened to it on YouTube and really liked it, but I couldn't comment at the time (something unexpected happened here).
And now, while I'm trying to listen to the songs of all the active forum members, I was also able to listen to your song again (and again) and finally give you my feedback; fantastic!!!

The intro stands as a rock! Cool riff!
The song is pretty standard blues, but for me (and many others) the theme never gets old.
That's proven once again, Mr. Blue Attitude!

Hans

Cheers, Hans!

I pretty much wrote the song around that intro lick. Thanks, Scott!

Cool blues rock song! I enjoyed the guitar riffs, reminded me of some famous song and I finally realized it was Marty's song where certain Dave played the guitar laugh Your power trio rocks solidly like a Corvette engine. Nicely flowing rhyming describes the deja vu feel very lively. And your husky voice is at home in this bluesy soundscape.
