Hello, Kind of a newbie here. Using a Windows Vista 64 setup 2010.5. When in RB the volume settings do not save. I can adjust volumes by the sliders look at VU meter and tweak it to where I want it hit save as button and it saves...but it doesn't. When I reopen the file it is as if I didn't save anything. Any thoughts? Thanks

Control changes embadded in the file?
Pick a track that 'changes' when you open the file (highlite the track) Click on the Event List ('E' icon) Hit rewind and look for volume controls, they should be a different color and have a Control Change number (usually 7 or 11). Delete these (on each track), make the adjustments, save and test.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

The Event List, with a E Icon, is on the middle of the second row from top. If you are using any Midi tracks you need to understand the "Event List". Click it and take a look.
It runs through the entire track and lists all the "midi code". So what Rharv is saying is look for the Volume changes which must be hard coded into the midi code. Simply delete then and you will again have control over the volume changes.

Open the mixer view and hold down the Ctrl key and then click each midi track so that all are highlighted. Next at the bottom of the mixer screen there is a button called Del. click that and it will erase any volume settings for the tracks that are programmed at the start of those tracks. If there are other issues you will have to look thru each track in the event list.
highlight one track and press F2 then scroll thru and look for volume controls.
