ALL IN THE FEET

A tale of romance, unexpected connections, and -- feet.
================================
Out on my daily walk
Each step provoked a squawk;
My feet told me that morn
I'd long ignored that corn;

I called my best friend Ben;
To see who he'd recommend
He said, "Oh, I've got had a gem!
Just call my DPM."

Doctor Kazinsky, please..
I wonder..Is he Russian, Ukranian or Viennese?

I got in right that noon.
Sat in that little room
As I removed my sock.
In stepped... a lady doc??

Dumbstuck at her beauty
And stunned by her awesome face,
I was frozen, completely kaput.
Her sexy lips said,
"Dahlink, let me look at your foot"!

The eyes, the smile, the hair
All I could do it stare;
Her legs my eyes could not let go;
I gurgled a wimpy "hello".

In that moment in time,
I dreamt that she might be mine;
I imagined a romance we'd find;
But then....

She laughed, I could have sworn,
"That's quite a nasty corn!
You left this yellowed mount to grow--
It's like an eleventh toe!"

And you left out a few details:
Ingrown and fungused nails
I'll bet that bunion's new--
We've got so much to do!"

I left the office on wings,
Dreaming impossible things;
Was there hope for a romance-to-be--
The podiatrix and me?

Very amusing and original tune, Tom. Like the tango backing tracks, and your vocals are great. The additional voices work really well, too. I can picture (and hear) these tunes of yours right at home in a 1950s-style musical. That would be a lot of fun.

I got quite a chuckle, Tom! Who knew bad feet and fungused nails to be a gateway to love? Is that a confluence of podiatrist and dominatrix in the last line? The tango works well with the Slavic origins of the doc.

I hope he’s got good health insurance!

Must be Latin music day on the forum (having just listened to Christian's bossa). This provides quite a contrast of mood, though! Love your creative use of voices. Quite entertaining (if not disgusting...lol).

Your SC waveforms always indicate a nice mix before we listen.
We so much enjoy tunes of any genre that aren’t over compressed and, thus, breathe.

Ron mentioned the 50’s style musical and we join in on that.
Your vocals are excellent - cool vocal add-ons too.

Love the latin feel of the session guys.
The band is very cohesive like they've played together for years.
Maybe they have smile

Enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed listening to this tango, Tom! Karina of Fiverr really did a first class job! The way she expressed each line was perfect for the piece.

Oh, just from the title I stood up prepared to dance to this one. WAIT! I need a partner for this chacha. Oh, man, this is terrific, Tom (hey, are you old enough to have experienced Captain Kangaroo?) THis is so good. I really enjoy the story and the way you tell it --and that you give her a chance to reply. Great wimpy hello. Having no dance partner, I sat for this one. But really happily listened.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Tom, you need to write a part two so we can find out if the romance blossomed. Funny stuff!

Tom,

This is a stylish song with a subtle mix of tango and cha-cha feelings.
I'd say the tango is more dominant.
Both tango and cha-cha are my favorite genres, so I immediately liked this song.
Your vocals are a perfect fit for this song.
The chord progression is also ingenious and wonderful.
Well, it'd be great if something like the lyrics happened in life.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

I really like it; the lyrics are rhythmic and the accents are well-placed in this Cha-cha style. The whole thing is very well done.

Thanks all.
Bob: Sorry, no sequel planned!
Shigeki: Correct about tango/chacha blend..I couldn't find the appropriate RT's for what I wanted, but I decided that blending these wasn't such a big problem, for this idea.
Laurent: Thank you!

Tom, it seems like you put your best foot forward on this one.
Extremely clever lyrics and arrangement.
Great vocal and backing tracks.
You had me LOLing on this one.
Loved it.
