First, forgive me for posting another item so quickly after my "feet" song....but as I was working with Suno on my last project, I got to thinking, what if i just asked Suno to cover an older song that I always felt needed "more". This song was created in around 2011 entirely with BIAB (and midi)...I've lost the original files, so I can't state the style/RT's, etc.

What I did was submitted it to Suno, then imported the version that I liked into a SEQ file along with my original. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could easily chop each one up and have 1 song comprised of bits of each--the old and the new. That's what I'm submitting to the forum for comments. I think the "combo" turned out pretty OK!

The song is a reflection on Paul's letter to the Corinthians--to "knock it off!"--imagined as a bluesy-gospel song.
Please comment and tell me what you think about the mixture...I put the original slightly off to the left and the new slightly off to the right.
Thanks.

STOP!

You gotta Stop!
All your running 'round;
Stop chasing lies;
Stop feeling good and proud;
Stop choosing sides;
Stop wantin' everything;
Stop your hateful ways;
You gotta Stop!
'Cause the spirit is slipping 'way

My brothers--
I came to preach the good word!

You welcomed me,
You heard the word,
You let the spirit in;
When I left you were fearful and strong;
Now I'm hearing that everything's wrong;
What have you done?
You done let the Spirit slip away!
Stop!
