Hi everyone,

I recently bought an iPad mainly to use Band-in-a-Box for iOS alongside my desktop version.
However, I was really surprised to find that the instrument transposition / concert pitch (C / Bb / Eb) option — which used to exist in earlier mobile versions — is no longer available in the current app.

In Android version 0.9.1.36 (Build 39) and earlier iPad builds, this feature worked perfectly and was extremely useful for wind players (saxophone, trumpet, etc.).
It allowed displaying transposed lead sheets directly on the device.

Unfortunately, PG Music Support told me that older iPad versions are no longer available, but I’d really like to know if:

there’s any legal way to restore or reinstall one of those older builds (e.g. 0.9.x / 1.2.x), or

if the C/Bb/Eb transposition option might be reintroduced in a future update.

I’m using the latest iPadOS on a new iPad and own Band-in-a-Box 2021 for Windows as my desktop version.

Tagging a few people who might know more:
@Andrew – PG Music, @Kent (PG Music), @Peter Gannon, @Simon (PG Music), and @MarioD – any insight would be very appreciated!

Thank you all in advance — I really love BIAB and hope this great feature can make its way back into the iPad version.

Best regards,
Piotr
