I agree 100% with all of that! But, to be fair, pretty much every music software program I use has a steep learning curve GUI. (I'm talking to you Scaler. And you, Toontrack. And you RealiTone. And a bunch of others!) The difference is those tools look modern and seem intentionally designed rather than ancient and assembled with duct tape and wire!  Very well articulated indeed! Does Scaler have a steep learning curve? Yes Does it have a modern intentionally designed GUI? Yes Does BiaB appear ancient and is being technologically left behind? Yes Conversely, Studio One Pro (as an example) does have a modern/attractive GUI, a short learning curve and is not being technologically left behind. So these positive attributes are possible to combine into a single software product.; but it requires elegant software engineering. Studio One has also embraced AI.
