Loved it

Thanks, Mario! Yep, all of those 'solo' sections came together really nicely. Lucy's right now working on the vocals tracks, but she only sings over the lullaby chords, so the 'solo' sections will remain as they are.

Isn't "upbeat lullaby" an oxymoron? I tapped my feet while I listened grin

Anyway, I think it's a good song, even catchy, thanks to the rhythm section you chose

Yep, B.D., 'upbeat lullaby' is an oxymoron! Part of what inspired it was that an upbeat young lady friend had just given brith to her first child, a boy, and I think he'd be more interested in it wide awake than when trying to sleep! laugh

Thank you, Anne-Marie! Your saying that you "Love the violins" has made the cello, viola and fiddle jealous, but it's okay as the harps tied them up and told them not to be petty! laugh

Hi Chay,

This is a really nice song. A beautiful melody with great strings and a lead guitar.
But you're right; I did expect vocals at times. I think Venus Twinkles needs vocals...
So in your remake...?
Still, it's a really entertaining song. I don't understand why you don't have many listeners on the forum, but I'm definitely in!

Thanks, Hans! I now have the vocal stems and am in the process of the song version.

Re "I don't understand why you don't have many listeners on the forum", this track was posted almost 4 weeks ago, but has kept on receiving late responses, while my latest track, "Painted Sky" which was posted about 2½ weeks ago has vanished off the forum's Page 1. The odd thing is that last time I checked, the latter track had 49 YouTube Views, compared to "Venus Twinkles" only having 38, but the opposite is the case re forum clicks. "VT" has had 1,561, while "PS" has only had 372! Obviously the persons making all those forum clicks never play the music, but it’s very odd that "Painted Sky" has done worse on the forum, but better on YouTube, while although "Venus Twinkles" has done better on the forum I'd still have expected more, particularly as so many have clicked on it. It's also atypical that "Painted Sky" has vanished off the 1st forum page much faster than average. I've also not been on the forum as often as usual as my PC keeps losing sound!

Thanks, Scott! This instrumental has kept coming back to the top of the thread despite that I've posted 2 more recent ones. I now have the vocal version almost ready for posting, but I need this version to disappear in case folk confuse it with the future vocal! laugh

Hi, Chay.

Well, I'll unhelpfully bump it up again. wink

I heard it before - I recall reading about the charango - but I didn't comment then.

Nice music - looking forward to the vocal version!

Hi Chay.

I absolutely love the way you create music. This is first-class listening all the way. You really have a flair for arrangement. I honestly have no idea how you manage to create such amazing work. The production was top-notch-plus! This is stunning music.

Thanks, Dave! The version with vocals should be uploaded to YouTube sometime this weekend.

Hi Chay,

A very cool, mellow piece of music.

I enjoyed the piano intro and how the the music built as the other instruments, such as the strings, came in and kept building, with the fiddle leads, multiple key changes, and guitar solo.

Great production and mix, too!

Thanks, for listening and responding, Bob. Much appreciated. I've now got a vocal version ready to upload to YouTube, but this instrumental - posted here 6 weeks ago - keeps on coming back to the top of the thread so I'm waiting for it to vanish before I post the song version so folk don't confuse it with this track and thus ignore it! I've posted 2 other instrumentals since this and both are now on page 2 of the thread, but Venus keeps on twinkling back to the top! laugh Another irony is that while it's been one of my most successful posts here, it's had below average views on YT. I'm now going to have a little sob. laugh

Most "clicks" in the forum come from bots/crawlers scanning the forum.
