Just an early thought. When Biab comes out at Christmas time, what is the price of the ultrapak going to be, (by the last couple of years) I love the new stuff.......and can't wait for more real tracks......

Hi critter,

I've never known the price of updates to be given out in advance. My experience tells me that when these updates come along, they are always at a price that can only ever be considered brilliant value.

Regards,
Noel

I would imagine near the 2010 upgrade price or not much difference.

Hope they have a lot more country guitars solos or I'll be holding off again until 2012 as 2010 plus pak does most things that I want

Whish list for BAIB 2011!

1. Ability by playing keyboard live; BIAB recognizes Chords during the style playing and records them in real-time. Sort of an Arranger keyboard feature.
2. Orchestral/Symphonic RealTracks Styles.
3. Better TC Hellicon Vocal harmonizer
4.Re-Wire
5.New cleaner and more professional looking GUI
6.Better Midi file to style converter options
7.More fancier Intros and endings

Q: when will be the BAIB 2011 on the market?

Now then Re-Wire has been wished for the last few years & nothing has been done about it. This would be THE major advancement of BIAB

I missed the last 2 upgrades, so no matter WHAT is included in this next release, I'll have a lot of fun catching up.

The forum is a good way to spread excitement about new releases. In the past year I've watched people talk about how they're using various features my version doesn't have, and I must say, "feature envy" is a powerful marketing tool.

Since your title to the post includs the words "Wish List", why didn't you post this in the "Wish List" forum?

Anyway, your first request will 'probably' never happen because it would remove one of the most powerful features of Biab and that is it's ability to analyze the chord structure of the song ahead of time before it generates. Having it act like an arranger keyboard means it's only coming up with the backing for one chord at a time witn none of the transistions that make a song sound so real and that is very limiting. I know because I also have one of the best arrangers around, a Korg Pa1XPro. I like it a lot and it's fun to play but overall Biab is better. Many times I will be playing the Korg as an arranger live and I hear the bass lines being chopped up when I make a chord change. Biab will give you a smooth bass line flowing from one change to another. I use Biab to create midi files to play live on the Korg for that reason. As I'm sure you'll agree the bass is critically important for most tunes.
The other items are valid requests but you will get better visibility in the appropriate forum, PG staff looks there all the time and a lot of things posted there have come to pass.

As to when 2011 may be released, typically they do that in time for Christmas but this is just a user forum. We're all waiting along with you.

Bob
