Lovely piece. Really liked your processing on the vocal. Gives the song such a cool feel. Excellent vocal and backtrack. Well done

Thank you for the listen and review Scott.

Yes, a serious subject and maybe a tad self indulgent, but I found it therapeutic to get it down, and draw something positive from a negative experience. Im willing let inspiration come from anything good or bad, and it worked well in this instance.

Thank you, kind regards

Thank you Marty,

You know, when I listened back to it, I was also struck by how similar to Mr.Harrisons vocals it was, Perhaps because he had the weakest voice of the three, that I feel when I don’t strain my vocal it is akin to his.

Thank you for the feedback Marty. Appreciate it buddy. Kind regards

Thank you Scott

Yeah the vocal worked out really well in the end. I did try to build the vocal dynamic through the verses and to have them release into the chorus. Came up better than I had anticipated.

Kind regards

Very catchy tune, Lee, liked it a lot. The first few lines sounded like the Hollies to me, then I started to hear ELO. Very glad to know this cautionary tale has a happy ending. Vox are quite good, wish I could sing like that, I wouldn't need SUNO. Liked the tree reference, I learned something new. Good work!

Hi there Rob,

You mentioned three very important words for me. E, L and O! The Beatles aside, ELO have been my biggest influence. I couldn’t get enough of their early stuff, especially A New World Record and El Dorado. Really disappointed that Jeff Lynne didn’t bring his recent tour to anywhere in the southern hemisphere, and it now seems he’s unlikely to be able to do much more…..sorry, I digress.

Thank you for the like and high praise. I hadn’t thought about the Hollies, another exceptional band, but I can see/hear how the build in intensity through the verses is akin to some of their material.

Thank you buddy, kind regards

Hi Lee,

Very cool song!

It sounded to me like a Jeff Lynne song, in both your vocal delivery and the BIAB style you chose.

I also liked the fuzzy/humming effect you put on the background vocals.

The piano solo in the middle sounded just right.

The lyrics did a good job of capturing the stressful times you were going through, but glad to hear you're on the mend now.

Bob

Thank you for the listen Bob,

I nearly went with a Richard Burton type narration over the piano solo, but decided to bin it as the piano solo was so good, that’s BIAB btw, not me. Thank you for the comparison to Jeff Lynne, but alas I don’t have the strength in my voice as he has/did.

Kind regards.

Excellent production and the supporting video was very engaging.
Us two seniors definitely get the narrative.

Like Bob mentioned we too felt a Neil Young vibe -- a good thing.

The BiaB wrecking crew served you well and your vocals sound very good.

Nice mix that is open and airy on our monitors.

Well done ... all around.

Glad you had a good outcome.
