I wanted to write an early Beatles song, or a Merseybeat tune at the very least. BIAB did its part well, but SUNO would not give me a British vocal. Took the wind out of my sails. But it's not too bad, I think.

RealTracks in style: 2576:Bass, Electric, SurfRockSyncVintage Ev 165
RealTracks in song: 2575:Guitar, Electric, BackgroundSoloist SurfRock16thsBrent Ev 165
RealTracks in style: 2574:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm SurfRockBrent Ev 165
RealTracks in song: ~405:Guitar, Acoustic, Strumming Ev 120
RealDrums [in style:SurfRockIsland: a: Ride, Snareb: HiHat, Snare
Vocal: SUNO (The only thing I use SUNO for is the vocal. SUNO copies MY melody. I write the song and produce it with BIAB, hope that's very clear to everyone!)

Lyrics:

All the pain and heartache
That you gave to me
Someday will come back to you
Just you wait and see

All the guys you're seeing
Do they know the score?
Seems there's always someone
Hanging 'round your door.

Oh I loved you girl
I wanted you for my own, yeah, yeah, yeah
I didn't want to share,
You didn't really care,
I can't stand being alone aaand

All the pain and heartache
I still feel inside,
What's a guy to do
If he's already cried

Every time I see you,
You're with a different fool,
Is that how you like things
Or just your way to stay cool?

Oh I loved you girl
I meant it that's for sure yeah yeah yeah
I can't seem to shake it
All I do is fake it
Tell me what's the cure YEAH!

Guitar break

Oh I loved you girl
I didn't want to let you go yeah yeah yeah
My heart is split in two
I don't know what to do
But to sing this song of woe, oh oh

All the pain and heartache
Deep inside of me
Will it make me stronger
Or bring me down to my knees

Outro
All the pain and heartache
Hate that pain and heartache
Too much pain and heartache
So long pain and heartache
Goodbye pain and heartache,
All that pain and heartache

Hi Rob!
I'm not sure about The Beatles, but I could definitely hear Gerry and the Pacemakers singing this! The vocalist was bringing out the Brit accent on the first syllable of each stanza, and I like the 'yeah yeah yeah' - it probably needed Paul McCartney to do his Little Richard 'oooo'. The guitar solo was just right as well.
Well done!

Hi Rob

That is terrific, it had me bopping along. You have definitely captured some of the early Beatles feel. In fact, I could imagine PMc and JL singing that. I’m sure there that if you’re trying to get a British vocal, there must be enough Brits in the forum who could provide their vocal talents.

Great write, composition and production. Really enjoyed it, kind regards.

Thanks, Andrew! Yes, I realized pretty quickly that the Beatles was too tall a goal. So I settled for Merseybeat. I'm thrilled you heard some Brit in the vocal, I could not hear that myself. But you would know better than I. Thanks again!

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

Cool excursion. Nice Merseybeat vibe and the band is very snappy. Perfectly arranged including the solo and nifty ending. Crisply mixed, too.

Think you're right about the scarcity of Liverpool nuance in the vocals, but the feel of the track really captures the magic and creates the illusion on its own.

Nicely done!

Bob,

Wow! What a great early 60s pop song. Love the tune, arrangement and excellent vocal. I think you met all of your objectives on this one.

I like how you can write songs in different genres so skillfully, recently a country song and now a pop song and before them jazz, blues and so on. They all sound so real, and doesn't matter who's singing, you or Suno or a fiverr, it's the song that really matters.

Definitely has a 60's feel, I love those surf guitars and the mix has nice reverb. Great and catchy melody and the singer's voice is pleasant even on the low register - that's why it doesn't sound like a usual AI vocalist.

Clever ending with repeats of the title, like a lyrical fade out. Very good pop music, I enjoyed it!

Janne

Bob, that was great! So masterful in capturing the sense, feel of the style. I'm very impressed! And, besides that, it is "complete"--fleshed out all the way. Totally enjoyed it!

You certainly got the Merseybeat sound in the music here! I can image bands like Gerry and the Pacemakers performing it as well as The Beatles. ... I've just spotted that Andrew also heard the Gerry and the Pacemakers vibe, too! ... I suspect that if I tried to do a Meseybeat sound song I'd fail miserably, so really well done.
But Suno, by crikey! I'm terribly, terribly offended that they don't do any British vocals! laugh

It definitely sounds like the 60s.
I'm NOT an expert on that decade, but it sounds authentic to me, even though I've never heard of Merseybeat before.
I would never have guessed that this was from the 2020s, so you've really done a great job [Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]

"[E]arly Beatles song" instantly caught my eye. I love listening to groups from the British Invasion, with the Beatles at the toppermost, of course. Excellent work capturing the sound of that era. Yes, the vocal doesn't sound like the Beatles, but it sounds straight from the Mersey.

Bob, a flashback to the early 60's. You nailed the Merseybeat groove. It sounded like Gerry and the Pacemakers singing with Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys on lead guitar. Super vocal.
Loved it

Nicely done, Bob!

Not so much a Beatles sounding song, but definitely from that time period. Great write, love the guitar solo too, fits perfectly!

Enjoyed!

Yep. More Gerry Marsden, or maybe a song Lennon & McCartney wrote for The Pacemakers. Man, this is brilliant, Bob. Definitely early 60s British Invasion stuff. The guitar solo is jsut like it should be, and I like those "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah"s. Great idea and excellent execution. One thing that would've made this an album version is that it's over 3 minutes. hehe

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Rob,

Great 60s-style tune!

Surf guitar and the vocalist make it sound more like an American than a British song, but that's fine with me.

Enjoyed the surf guitar solo.

Superb write, production and mix!
