After I record something and click yes to keep the track, a box pops up letting me know that stom^.exe is trying to run. I have to click yes or it hangs up, or nothing happens at all. I checked the User Account Control and it is set to the recommended settings. Initially when I recorded in RB on this new computer, I was able to record and didn't have this error. I didn't knowingly change anything so I don't think it is the UAC, although I could be wrong. If I should change the setting, please let me know.
In addition to the Stom^.exe issue, RB is splitting the track into a left and right side, even though I am recording a mono source onto a track that is set as mono. The two issues started at about the same time so I am guessing that they are connected. Not completely sure, but pretty sure. When it splits the track, it overwrites the next track as blank and makes it the right channel.
What is going on? Did I change something unknowingly?

Go to - Options-Preferences-Audio tab
There is an option to select which channel you want to record when using MONO.
You have selected "Left and Right" from the sounds of it. Choices are 'Left', 'Right', or 'Left and Right'
Change this to either left or right (whichever is applicable) and it should be fine. Otherwise RB (and PT) record both sides to their own mono track.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Woo hoo!!! Yay, that fixed it. It also fixed the Stom^.exe issue too. It doesn't pop up now. Fantastic rharv!!! You are the man. Two gold stars for you today. :-)
