No extra instruments from me this time. I just wanted BIAB to demonstrate what a song might sound like if composed entirely of 6th and 7th chords. As it turned out, it wasn't quite as weird as I imagined.

Hi Brian!
Two very cool sections! The guitar section, followed by a very interesting 6ths section - which I love! That synth gave it a unique vibe.
This has rather interesting synchronicity as today I heard on the news that Macquarie Dictionary word of 2025 revealed their words of 2025 and ‘six-seven’ was given an honourable mention.

Good timing by you!

Andrew

Excellent group of BiaB session players and they certainly delivered your idea.

Well done and a fun experiment that certainly was not weird to our ears.

Cool!

Doesn't sound weird at all, it's actually quite entertaining.
I'd call your experiment a success smile

Pretty cool though I found the intro guitar's tone a little dull...could use a little top end nudge perhaps.

Cheers

Cool easy-breezy instrumental. My only minor criticism is that I thought the sax should have been a little louder. I was actually surprised that it's a tenor as it sounded more alto to me.

Interesting (and pleasing) experiment with chord types. Very inventive, and it comes off quite un-weird.
My only suggestion is that if had varied the backing on the 'b' sections a bit (maybe different bass or rhythm element), it could add some differentiation and color to the use of the m6th's.
Enjoyed listening to it!

What a cool idea, and an even cooler result, Brian. I was expecting a song about two pair, 6s and 7s. (Once knew an outlaw band named Aces & Eights.) Man, this is so good. I wouldn't say do anything differently; just do more.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Brian,

I think this sounds great. Full of character and rhythm. An excellent mix as well.

Yes, sounded pretty normal, though the guitar solo might not have fit real well. A lot of my thirties songs are full of sixth and major sevenths, so no surprise to me that it sounded good.
