You will be posting the one with vocals soon, right? Even in your vocal posts I listen intently to the instruments you chose. Always fun. I like how this one had the false ending, and the piano brought it back to a new rewarding life. Of course the drums and the rest of the band grabbed the new uplifting feeling, which eventually the sax couldn't resist. You're a sucker for happy endings, aren't ya?

Thanks, Marty! I'll be uploading the vocal version of Venus Twinkles" to YouTube in the next few days. Lucy's doing the vocals again and the title will probably be "Venus Twinkles [Lady of Love]" to differentiate it from the instrumental. The lyrics will be in the video.
Re happy endings, I realised a few decades ago that all of my fiction writing has been a form of compensation for either what doesn't come up to expected standards in my life, or for what is lacking. The 3 books I have out - the trilogy-length epic under my name and 2 novellas under a pseudonym - all have happy endings. Since the Year of My Snafu Catch 2022 in which everything that could go wrong did go wrong and I ended up in this way too small retirement flat with plasterboard walls separating me from the neighbouring flat - which prevents me playing guitar and ludicrously limits my own vocal recording - and which also turned out to be haunted, it's hard to have faith that there can be a happy ending. So expect more musical happy endings! laugh In the pipeline I've now got a rough/demo of a rock versions of "VT" with mine and Lucy's vocals together, but my vocals are from the demo I sent her and so need to be improved; plus I have a musically finished song from spring 2024 which just needs a better vocal track from me. I've been delayed getting a vocal demo of another song ready for Denisse (of "Flowing Lady Deya [rock version]") since the same period - all 3 latter have very happy endings - plus I've also got the BiaB music for the vocal version of my 1974 song "Baby Be Mine Tonight" (as in the above video) which is just happy throughout. So I'm very disappointed with where I live as for so long I've only managed to record 2 vocal demos which I've had to sing in hushed tones. I'm hoping my neighbour will be invited away for this Xmas as I could get so much done.
