Once you start using it I guarantee you will never want to go back to the old one. This is the statement that says it all. If you could use the old GUI, you can use the new one, and it's actually easier. Everything just falls into place. It is functional, tailored, and makes the old GUI look like something that was actually difficult to use. Don't be put off, everything just falls into place and works, and it's now so flexible. Using it is a breeze.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
