BIAB 2026 (1213): When jukebox is playing, sometimes it doesn't play the next song. It does play the next song if you use 'play' and choose 'next jukebox song' but if I choose jukebox in the top right corner, choosing next song does not work. It repeats the current song.
I've tried this on two different computers. The workaround would be when using jukebox not to choose 'next' via jukebox in the top right corner.
The Next button will only do anything if the Jukebox is currently playing and in that case it loads and plays the next song. Is that what you mean? It is definitely reasonable to expect it to load the next song (but not play it) while it's stopped, but it currently doesn't work like that.
BIAB 2026 (1213). When I go to 'favorites' and load a previously saved jukebox set and then start 'jukebox', the 'play' menu allows me to advance to the next tune in the set. While jukebox is playing, if i go to the 'jukebox' icon in the top right corner, I get an access violation.

I tried this multiple times but could not re-create the issue. Was any message attached that you could send to PG Music?

I guess we need input from PG Music on the status of bug #4662.

Fantastic. You admitted the bug exactly 18 months ago and it will be fixed in the next patch. My wallet already voted accordingly in 2025 version. Now in 2026. Keep the good work.
Parapente, let us all know when it is actually fixed. In the mean time I tend to avoid any threads regarding Jukebox. It has a sordid history as we see here.

But of course each generation of new users doesn't know that

No way!
First I had a late look to the forum to sense if the DAW plugin looks significantly more functional than 2 years ago. And to my surprise it looks even worse. After some research I abandoned today the idea to update SW only and test it, even considering the 30-day money back. So I won't test broken functionality in BiaB 2026. Perhaps next year.
Second and more importantly, if PGMusic does not make the slightest effort to drop a line saying "the bug you identified is now fixed 2 years later", I would not test. I prefer to stick with known bugs and limited functionality in BiaB 2024. I assume the jukebox bug is still there. Moreover, reviewing user experiences I assume these bugs limiting many small advertised features are not high priority for anyone.
Am I supposed to test broken functionality to see if it is magically fixed? I don't think so.
The bug that you reported and helped diagnose was resolved in the patch released over a month ago on December 10, like we talked about.
The issue was this:
Quote
If I enable "write chords to track" (something really useful to import songs into Reaper using advanced scripts), the jukebox does not work. If I disable the option it works.
The way it was resolved was to issue a message if Jukebox play is started when this setting is enabled. This is because Jukebox play is not compatible with this setting. As you mentioned, the problem is not necessarily that you NEED the Jukebox to work while outputting chords, the problem is that it doesn't work if the setting happens to be enabled, and a user wouldn't know why.
