Band-in-a-Box for Windows

I want to arrange my windows and then save them.
But when I click the Views down arrow button and select "Save Current View..." I get the following error message in a yellow box at bottom right of the screen even though I haven't even typed any filename yet,
Invalid File Name. No spaces allowed
If I click Cancel button, or type a valid 8.3 filename and click Save, I get the following error message in a yellow box at bottom right of the screen,
View saved with these windows:
Invalid File Name. No spaces allowed
If I had clicked the Save button above the new .bvu file is created and displayed in the list of views. But if I then try to load the newly created view I get the following error message in a yellow box at bottom right of the screen and the view does not load,

When creating a view I use only valid 8.3 filenames such as fave.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
