Country / Bluegrasser - I want to upgrade from 2022 to 2026 but need to choose wisely. Please help.
First, thanks to PG music for BIAB as I've been using it for many years and through several versions for practice and fun, and not for song writing or creating. I'm currently using version 2022. I'm a customer for life, and I definitely want to upgrade to 2026. One of the main attractions for me to upgrade is the availability of the Android app. I've been wishing for something like that for a long long time.
I'm on a very limited budget, so I need to choose from the many PAKs available during this upgrade promotion time, and I'm overwhelmed and don't want to choose and pay for overlapping PAKs that I received with the 2022 upgrade. I'm strictly a Bluegrass / Country picker so I have absolutely no need for and have never used the rock, funk, jazz etc. etc. etc. addons and I'm hesitant and can't justify paying for what I will never use. That's one of the major hurdles that's kept me from upgrading in the past.
I would greatly appreciate it if PG music had an all-inclusive PAK for various specific genres that don't include the unusable (to people like me) genres.
Does anyone know of a capability of purchasing PAKs, Real Tracks, Styles etc. without the funk, disco, bossa nova, alternative, fusion, latino, hard rock, "and much more!" stuff? If there's an addon PAK specifically for Country / Bluegrass I would like to find that and include it in my upgrade purchase.
There is no PAK by genre breakdown. At $29 per RealTrack set, buying sets get expensive fast.
If you are most interested in acquiring the Android app then the $49 program only upgrade is the least price choice. You'll get 2026 versions of Band-in-a-Box, RealBand, the DAW plugin and the Android app.
There are several options included with BIAB that also may interest and help. If you aren't already aware and have a higher level version of your BIAB program, Artist Performance Set 5 is specific to Bluegrass music and there's also a separate add-on purchase for Flatpicking guitar for $49. There's bluegrass riff's tutorials in the Songs and Lesson's that will display string instruments on the Fretboard.
