I sent this question to PG support and got what appears to be a very brief automated response so I’m now presenting it to you dedicated end users.
I have the Band-in-a-Box Ultra Pak 2025 version and I’m thinking of upgrading to the 2026 version, but I’ve got some issues with it, and I would like some assurance that they have been addressed in this new version as seems to be indicated by your YouTube video introducing the new upgrade.
My songs are simple 60s/70s styled Americana, (roots rock, blues, country, folk etc.), but I’ve not been able to get simple out of the RealTracks. Everything seems to be a lead instrument – lead bass, lead drums, and the guitars, and keyboards all doing, as somebody said in Amadeus, “too many notes.” Maybe I’ve just not looked in the right places, but I’ve not yet found any styles that ideally fit my preferences: simply strummed acoustic guitars, and simple, solid bass and drum parts.
Does the new 2026 version address this issue, or maybe you might have a special add-on pak I’m not aware of. If you don’t already have one, I’d like to suggest that a British Invasion Pak might be of interest to many of your users.
Anyway, if you haven’t already done so, I hope you’ll consider my suggestion, and please let me know if I might find what I’m looking for in the new 2026 upgrade.
