I have the same needs as you. All I want to do is reproduce the sound of the four or five piece bands I used to play in. I rough out the song in BIAB and then go to RealBand. If a track is too busy I usually mute it or substitute sometihng simpler. Never had a a problem like the constant problem you are talking about. Are you choosing the right BIAB style to start with? You mention RealTracks - don't start with RTs start with a simple easy style.
