Well I *think this counts
I play my Roland synth, which gets recorded to audio in RB via inputs 3/4 on my interface.
But I also trigger the Kontakt synth (and others) via the same keyboard, and I route that audio out into 5/6 of the same interface.
Then I can record both synths playing what I play, or one at a time, onto separate tracks..This leaves the other 4/6 channels for whatever.
You can route as many synth to whatever inputs you have available/selected.
Or maybe I misunderstood..
