I'm waiting on a new laptop. Can I load BIAB 2026 on two separate laptops using the same registration? Stupid question?

It's a reasonable question. My understanding is that PG Music allow you to activate on up to 3 computers - as long as they are owned by you and only used by you.
You can move a licence to a different computer e.g. if you upgrade to a new computer etc by deactivating. This is done from the help drop-down menu.

Thanks. I'd like to be able to move BIAB files back and forth between two laptops to allow for use in guitar lessons, and maybe on the new laptop for more recording and maybe DAW work. Would the three PCs include the new Android app? I have no idea what the phone app does with BIAB.

Please let us know how the download to the new laptop goes.
I had a Wish List item to have the Download Manager get ALL the extra paks to which you are entitled,
without having to download them manually afterwards.

To my knowledge, no one else has ever asked or said anything that relates the three activations per each new year’s version of BIAB to the BIAB app, either the iOS or the new Android app. I’ll send a question to the developers. EDIT: the answer from PG Music is: No, it does not count and does not 'use up' a Band-in-a-Box desktop activation

LLOYD S Lloyd, The 2026 Download Manager does NOT normally download and install Extra or XPro PAKs from previous years. The exception is if you purchased all the Extra or XPro PAKs in prior years, and purchase this years' PAKs you can request that Sales substitute the consolidated PAKs they offer prior to creating the URL. The unique URLs created for the Download Manager are specific to the year and package you have when the URL is created. The Download Manager doesn't have a way to know your previous purchase history.

Would the three PCs include the new Android app? I have no idea what the phone app does with BIAB. The Android app was included in your initial Band-in-a-Box / RealBand download file. During installation the Android app is placed at X:\bb\Android where "X" = the Band-in-a-Box drive letter after installation. You will have to connect your Android smartphone to your computer through a USB connection to copy the Android app file to your smartphone. However, PG Music recently added the Android app to Google's PlayStore so the app is easy to install from there.
