As far as I know, other than registering the PG Music fonts neither Band-in-a-Box nor RealBand have entries in the Windows registry. That is the main reason they are installed under the installation drive letter instead of under a Program Files folder. That's why you can use an external drive without having to install the program first.
I was curious about this a dozen years ago and searched the Registry. Besides what’s been mentioned, the only other entry was a list of the last ten songs loaded. I think a statement that BIAB doesn’t write to the Registry in the extensive sense that most other programs do, would still be accurate.
