This is a thread that has been dormant for a few months, and yet it’s extremely relevant and important, and we have been specifically invited to make specific suggestions. Some of those cause strong reactions, which indicates how critical this issue is. So let’s keep going.
It was just mentioned that PG Music is looking into possibly adapting to the Reaper model for handling Preferences. Would one of you mind posting a screen shot of what that looks like? It’s been many years since I gave Reaper a try. Thanks.

The Reaper model is very similar to how Cakewalk displays Preferences.
In this model it is VERY important that attention is given to where each setting is placed.
For example in the Reaper screen shot above I would expect ALL path settings to be under Paths. I would not expect the paths for song projects to be located under Projects.
The last thing you want is to hunt for a setting because the setting is not where you think it should be.
I realize there maybe good reasons for a setting to be repeated in multiple places (which I hope doesn't happen) or that a setting has as much reason to be placed in either position A or B.
I hope in those instances PG Music will either ask the pulic forum or Beta Testers for comments.

I’ve always liked the way Presonus handles equipment settings, particularly how well they integrate their own equipment.

Reaper has hundreds and hundreds of options even dwarfing BIAB.
The best feature is a search field.
Studio One (latest version), Win 11 23H2 , i9 -10940X 3.3 GHz, 32GB Mem, a 4K 40" monitor, PreSonus Studio Live III Console as interface/controller. secondarily test on Reaper, Cakewalk, and S1 on Surface Pro 3 Win 10 (latest versions).

Feature request: Make the song memo window which is now floating only, have the ability to be docked into the UI like many of the other windows. One user here uses it constantly and wishes to have it a permanent part of his working layout and not have to resize his windows on his desktop to put BIAB and the Song Memo window side by side every time he starts up BIAB.

Feature request: Allow customization of the left side tool bar to remove functions never used. This would then match the customization features of the top tool bar which allows for wonderful inclusion or clearing of needed or unneeded buttons.
