I have recently tried out Dorico SE 6 a few times and quite like some of its features.
I already have MuseScore4, Notion6 and GP8. I don’t do much score editing and when I do it is quite simple things like melody lines for violin when transcribing songs etc.

The thing I like about Dorico is that it has a feature that allows me to do my edit simultaneously in the notation view or the midi view whatever I find the easiest and the edit is reflected directly into the notation.
I find it many times faster and easier to do the edit in the midi view especially when I can look at the resulting notation at the same time (aligning bars, note durations, pitch etc). (That might be because I am not so used to notation software and tend to forget the commands from between times).
I have not seen this function in the other scoring programs that I have.
I also like the presentation of the score it is a very clear and attractive view for me for my use.

It might be worth checking out.
There is a free version Dorico SE 6 (Steinberg).

It is just to drop a midi file, select write mode (in the upper zone), and key/midi editor (the up arrow at the bottom)
