The ACW has always been too unreliable in this sense to be really useful to me. After syncing the whole song with the L shortcut as described in the manual and in some vídeos, the audio, sooner or later, just get out of sync for no apparent reason in MOST (not all) of the cases, which is REALLY frustrating. And yes, I've tried the "Equalize tempo" feature: it doesn't help.

Having a MIDI transcription of an audio track completely out of sync with bars is not really useful for my use (which would be export the midi to Musescore to finish the job there), so I'll continue using other third party tools for this job
This is the root of the accuracy and usefulness of ML(AI) Spectral analysis.
If the tempo map is off, all your transcriptions will be off.
This is why ACW needs more work against more use cases (more song test cases) to handle accurate tempo mapping through improved workflow capabilities.
Once timing is as accurate as possible then harmonics needed a quick way to be weeded out to avoid superfluous notes.
