I prefer the mood of the original, the piano in the remake, your voice in the original, and the female voice in the remake. Not that Joanne's voice isn't as good (quite the contrary), but the female AI voice suits your voice better for this genre. The mix of the remake sounds more professional, but it has some quirks that I personally wouldn't be happy with (and which are a tedious task to fix. Been there, done that). The original mix sounds more open, and the individual instruments and voices have more room to breathe. It's a little too bright, though, but still very good. Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
