I have the tune Ashogan's Farewell in MIDI form; it occupies one track only (and hence is played by one instrument). I copied the track (it was in Track 1 position) and pasted it into another track (e.g., track 3) and the assigned instrument came right along with it. I then assigned a separate MIDI instrument to track 3. The new instrument assignment, however, was utilized in both tracks without my having success in attempting to get two separate instruments to play. I made several attempts to get two differing instruments to play the two separate tracks. It would not let it happen.....I did not get an error, but it simply wasn't doing as I had requested.
Any suggestions how to make this happen in RealBand? Thanks in advance,
