You can hear the residual effect of printers substituting the "Y" for the thorn character "Þ" in words like "You" and "Ye".

These would have been pronounced as "Thou" and "Thee".

There's also confusion with the "ſ" if you read old text, because it looks a lot like an "f", but has the crossbar of an "f" on the left side, but not the right. Yay typography! laugh
