I am stumped once again.

I have a song, written and put on BIAB years ago, that needs to have the melody enhanced or really, just added to. All my songs are input using styles that I select and all (as far as I know) use real tracks (yellow letters in the mixer window). This song, in the chorus, has sections with either no notes or single notes. I want to make these single notes or spaces into triplet chords. When I try to add a second note (using editable notation) the program will not accept it.

Then I thought to just record or overdub the chords using my midi keyboard. The melody was recorded using Piano2 and when I tried to record Midi starting at the appropriate bar, the original melody was replaced with the triplet chords. I opened RECORD MIDI > RECORD FROM BAR 14 > RECORD TO PIANO 2 > OVERDUB UDERLYING MIDI. I see a lot of “midi” here and I am using Real Tracks. Has that anything to do with the problem?

When I originally input the song, I played the triplet chords in one chorus and they were recorded. However, they were so poorly done that they will need to be edited or replaced. I just went back to see if I could add to or edit these chords, but they do not submit either.

I have consulted AIs but found their “workarounds” way above my ken. Can anybody shed light – that I might understand – on this? Let me know if you require more input.
