Although I enjoyed linking Finale to BIAB in the past, this is not currently possible on an Apple Silicon Mac except via the plug-in (which does work but it isn't the same). This is going to have to wait til BIAB 2027 when BIAB will be forced to become AS Native.

It's possible that running Dorico over Rosetta 2 might work but I've not tried that. Finale 27 can run over Rosetta but it is sluggish—BIAB runs great.

I've had Dorico since v.2 (now v.6) but my one-handed workflow is far better suited to Finale 27 which will still be running on the Mac at least through 2026 and, I suspect, through 2027. Although Finale 27 is AS Native, one of the installers requires Rosetta so installation after late 2027 is going to be fuuuun—in the most sarcastic meaning of the word.
