2. How will AI music be copyrighted? Easy. It won't. It doesn't mean there won't be ways to game the system but YouTube and Spotify have announced that they won't be paying for AI generated music. So, Who's won? YouTube and Spotify Tell us what they won, Johnny!The right to do business as usual, sell ads and subscritions while keeping more of the money for themselves. The only goal of AI is to try to get money for nothing. There is no other point. Oh hell no—at least not yet. Suno has been allowed to stay in business by paying a ton of money and changing their business model. Whether this new model allows them to stay in business or not remains to be seen. They'll likely manage but it's not a slam dunk.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
