Now if our government would just respect the copyrights it grants ....
/ducks They've never had to before—why start now? Congress should have passed laws to protect rights holders as required in the Constitution but have never stepped up to the plate—other than giving Disney an additional 20 years before Mickey Mouse went into the Public Domain. Every significant movement has come from the courts or in legal agreements now considered precedent. I speak as someone who worked on the 1976 revision to Title 17. I'll spare everyone the next five pages I could write on this.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
