Thank you all. My hobby is music ethnology: it's interesting how musical influences have been devopled and spread in the world: like yodeling from Switzerland, accordions from Germany, fiddle tunes from Ireland and Scotland via the Appalacies and conjuntos of Mexico melted into tex mex, country and western and western swing.
My teen years were in the sixties, so I grew up with the British blues revival from pop and rock to jazz and world music. I have had a periods of digging some genre deeply for awhile and then moving to another: like I had a Hawaiian period trying to learn to play lap steel, Celtic period playing melodies with tenor banjo and mandolin, New Orleans jazz with tenor banjo and so on.
I'm very pleased to share with you all the knowledge I have gathered.
