Hi everyone,
I’ve just upgraded to Band-in-a-Box 2026 and I’m noticing a frustrating issue with the new interface.
The "hitbox" for selecting or dragging the main window doesn't seem to reach the top of the screen. If I move my mouse cursor to the very top edge of the monitor and click, the window often fails to select or become active. It seems there is a dead zone of a few pixels at the very top of the window.
This was not an issue in previous versions (2025 and earlier) and it doesn't seem to be a problem with any other programs.
It seems like the new interface window isn't correctly mapping its clickable area to the top edge of the window boundary. This makes it difficult to quickly grab or focus the program without being overly precise with mouse placement.
Anyone else getting this / have any solutions? Thanks!

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
