Thanks for the hints. They work fine, but with the difference to older BiaB-Versions, that all unsed tracks and utility tracks are frozen and displayed inside the mixer. I didn't find any way to hide them. Help !!!

I think it's a bug. As soon as you freeze any track, the hide inactive doesn't work - not for me anyway.

I believe it's is not a bug, but poorly executed feature. I was told that... If you "manually" make empty track visible from eyeball menu, it will not "hide" using "hide inactive", even if it has no data. The way to check this, under dropdown of eyeball menu, you will see wording "shown". That means that you opened it manually.
Again, I believe it is a poorly executed feature, and I made developers aware of this. In my view track that has no data should go bye bye if "hide inactive" is pressed.
If it is by design then it's an odd behaviour and it didn't do this in previous versions, at least not before v2024. For example, hide your unused tracks and then click on "Freeze All". Every track will then appear and cannot be hidden unless you unfreeze them. Are you getting the same thing happen?
Lee, I think I unintentionally tested with pre-release version. The good news, the issue is likely fixed in upcoming patch!
Actually, after playing around, I'm no longer sure what is happening with it, other than it's a bit strange and doesn't always do what I expect. It seems to treat a frozen track as active, whether or not it actually has anything loaded on it. Maybe it is by design but it seems a bit clumsy (auto hide mentions frozen tracks). For example, (with auto hide not ticked) ... hide inactive channels so you just have a few tracks showing. Then click on freeze all, and nothing happens (as expected). Then click show active and all tracks will appear. Then click hide again but now they all stay on show. Hope that makes sense
Tested with Build 1220. It seems like everything is working.
An other confusing fact was, that songs which were frozen with older BiaB-Versions, had no frozen-icon at the master-entry at the bottom of the mixer. Unused tracks, like the utility-tracks, appeared unfrozen after loading the song and all tracks were showed. The status of the the song was "All tracks frozen". After a new "Freeze All Tracks" the unused tracks were displayed as frozen too. In combination with the bug, that the tracks didn't disappear, the confusion was perfect!
It seems, that unused tracks are marked as frozen, is a changed behaviour in younger BiaB-Versions.
