Yeah, new UI was a major success mainly because PGM engaged in a two way conversation and got direct feedback from users. Many things actually turned out much better than expected.

It seems there is a certain group of software conservatives (If there is a term like that) that don't like this "shortcut" or "that button" and ready to dismiss enormous progress that was made. I just ignore. BIAB has a long way to go in terms of how my forum friend coined: "user experience", but UI was a solid step forward in much needed direction.
