Finally a real human singing! I decided not to comment any AI made songs, so it's great to hear real human singing with it's personal sound. Well produced song reminding me about hits of 1980s.

Torrey, excellent posting! So many nice little details in there: the light "don't go..", the break after the solo portion, the suspended ending, use of the landslide metaphor, and many others. I listened closely to see how I could improve my own work by picking up pointers from you. And, after all that, a most enjoyable listen. Thanks for sharing your work!

Hi Torrey! You use some really cool chord changes in this song - I can’t name them but they sound good. The guitar solo is terrific with the harmonised guitars. ‘Riding the landslide’ - that’s a really apt metaphor of instability and something that’s going to pull one down. Great song! Andrew Thanks, Andrew, I truly appreciate you taking time to listen and comment! TB

Well done. A troubling topic for sure, but you handled it well in this good write and arrangement. The music fits. Tasteful. Excellent playing and singing.
I'm with you on the few and far between, but please don't stop creating.
The other day, out of the blue, a friend mentioned Julian Lennon. This production reminded me of that conversation. It has has a similar vibe to popular music of that time period.

Super song, Torrey! Love your overall arrangement, especially on vocals. Strong vocal performance and lead guitar lines as well. Very cool, shimmery sound and a deep hook. Always love hearing what you've cooked up. Glad you're back! Thanks Ron, your comments are greatly appreciated! TB

It is nice to hear a new one from you, especially when it is another enjoyable pop-rock song with influences from several styles and decades. Clear message and the melody go perfectly hand in hand.
It is pleasure to listen to your vocal performance, top class from those fragile high notes ("don't go") to the lush harmonies.
The instrumentation sounds very nice - fiddle and strings support the mood very well. Nice solo with your trademark guitar effects. And the mix is mouthwatering, smooth like chocolate mousse, the low end is solid and clear.

Torrey,
This is a great rock ballad. The chord progression is fresh, and the melody is accordingly innovative. Your vocals and twin guitars are fantastic and are the heart of this song. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Hi Torrey.
Wow!!! This is incredible. I love everything that you and Ron and done. This is first-class listening – lyrically, musically, production-wise and performance-wise. Your arrangement and production captured my attention and held it throughout the song. Moreover, the arrangement and production were a perfect frame for your performances and writing. The first thought that solidified in my mind as I listened was "This is truly superb in all directions."
What a great write! --Noel

Very good lyric and we know and love people who we wish would turn around.
"You're riding the landslide all the way down One day you'll find that you can't turn around Just look ahead see the end of the road Don't go"
There's a lot of truth in those thought provoking four lines.
Very soulful vocals!
Excellent BiaB session guys ... they well supported your guitar performances. Wonderful twin guitars in solos
That is one good mix. Every track has it's place. Lot of nuances and dynamics too.
We enjoyed it, welcome back and Merry Christmas!

Hey Torrey,
Nicely done mate. Well sung and produced. I couldn’t agree with you more that good songs (chart songs) are few and far between these days. It’s like the stream and download generation has sucked the lifeblood and originality out of the current music scene. But hey, your song is original and genuine. I really enjoyed my listen.
Kind regards. Thanks so much for taking time to listen and post your comments! I truly appreciate it! TB

Oh, man, Torrey. Creating things is one of the best gifts humans have recieved. Creations you craft with Ron are also great gifts for us all. Your lyrics are always caring and thought-provoking, often with encouragement and inspiration. This one is a fine example. Extraordinary music and mixing is also your talented signature. Love that guitar, too. Thanks Marty! Your comments are always a highlight of my day! TB

Hey Torrey,
This is great man. I've been listening to a lot of songs this weekend while I've been out and about in the yard doing some chores and just getting around to posting comments separately.
Man this sure is nice. Excellent music and lyrics and arrangement production and everything is usual.
I think you must be singing in a slightly different style than you were singing some songs in the past, and don't get me wrong it sounds wonderful, but at first I didn't realize it was you so maybe you have a couple of different techniques that you're using these days.
Any rate it's a wonderful piece of work man. Happy holidays. Thanks so much David! I would call these vocal stylings the "tired old man" sound! TB
