Feeling Blue

I'm Starting of the new year feeling very brave.

BiaB style - Vapor Bluesy New Age Piano
Tempo - 75 BPM

I only kept the drums and the piano tracks

The rhythm guitar started out as an acoustic guitar track played my me except my fingers were not working very well that day. So via Melodyne I converted the good measures into MIDI, copy and pasted the measures into the track and used Kontakt - Soundprops - The Alabama acoustic.

Drums - Steven Slate - SSD-5 - using a variety of drums from different kits
Piano - Velvet 64 - 35MKI Spring

Via my keyboard controller I am playing:
1-bass - Ample bass - bass p
2-Organ - Arturia - full drawbars.

As always all comments are welcomed.

I'm in a fitness protection program. I'm been hiding from exercise.

64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

Very cool slow burn you have going on there, Mario. Soulful, toneful little mini-solo, too. Clever technical maneuver with the salvaged guitar part. Love your vocals, you should definitely sing more! "What's a man gotta do??"

Hi Mario!
Happy New Year to you!
'Woke up this morning ...' - so the song got off to a good start!
You didn't mention your singing in your post, so I really enjoyed it when I heard the singing start. As Ron said, we should hear you sing more.
I like the stepping up motif on the bass - a signature part of the song. I am assuming the guitar lead is you as well. Loved it when the organ came in for the chorus.
Well done and I enjoyed the listen.
Andrew

Man Mario… that’s bluer than a room full of sailors g-strings… and they’re navy blue!

I know that 2025 was a downer…at least geo-politically, but keep drinking that moonshine. It makes everything better!

Seriously though, it was very blue. Great little solo there. Arrangement was very cool and suited the desperate feel of the lyrics, and your vocals also added to the implied sense of desperation.

Great start to 2026, but please cheer up buddy.

Kind regards.

Hi Mario,

Your first song in 2026, and with your vocals too!
This makes me happy, but you got really depressed. How is that possible?
She's gone, you have your freedom and your whiskey. Isn't that great?

No, I was joking. I hope you're our sunshine again soon!!! (but keep on singing),

A very creative 2026, Mario!
Hans

Good song, and the vocals were not bad, either. The guitar solo put some much appreciated energy into the track, good job on that, too (wish it had been longer). Good work overall!

Mario,

My first thought was, Jim Morrison has returned!
I love the whole thing! Your work with midi is always excellent!
i like your voice here and also the tone on that short guitar solo!

Thanks, TB
