Hi, Scott.

The production here is excellent!

All sort of cool things are happening in the mix, but none of them overwhelm the vocals, which are the star here.

You sound great. smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Scott

Great song done in a unique style/arrangement. A very clean production, nothing was overdone and all tracks worked well together. Your vocals were also exceptional.

You’ve set a high bar already for 2026! Excellent. Kind regards.

More than a simple song, "My heart is empty/Lacerated/And I think/I might be ok" describes exactly the anguish and the difficulty to shake it off. I got U2 vibes in the hymn like arrangement, which is intriguing - I really like those guitars and the haunting piano and how they blend together. And your powerful voice completes the dark mood.

WOW! Scott this is a masterpiece and a half! All of those little nuances you included fit like a glove - very impressive and brilliant. If I heard this is a record shop I would purchase the record right then and there.
Loved it.

Hi Scott,

I really loved your song! The dark, moody intro grabbed my attention right away. I especially liked how your vocals started quiet and gentle, then grew in strength and emotion—always calm, always in control. It felt like you were slowly letting us into your world.
The subtle piano drone in the background keeps the emotional tension steady, like a lingering warning that the healing isn’t complete yet. The return of the dark drone at the end adds the perfect chill as you deliver that hopeful “I might be OK”—a moment that made me feel lighter after each listen.
This is one of those rare songs that stays with you, turning sadness into something beautiful. Well done, Scott! This is a gem of a track that truly resonates.

Izzy.

Thanks, Torrey. I was going to double track the vocal, but I got lazy and decided to leave it be,

J&B, thanks. I wanted to redo the harmony before posting, but I got sick, which wrecked my voice, so I kept what I had (for now).

Scott - congratulations on a great song & project,
like Beth wrote this would fit Bowie singing it but
no need as you did such a great job with fine vocals!
Great mix & production - very well done!!

Best wishes for 2026, Carl

Scott,

Very cool song.
Love the production. Imaginative.
Cool write. Love how your short phrases combine to a thought provoking whole. And the juxtaposition of the longer lines of the chorus work nicely.

Really like your vocal and harmonies!

A good listen. My ears are happy (even if the singer is not smile )

Well done.

Thanks, Mario. I miss buying records at the record store. At least, I hope I have a few people listen to the song.

Scott,

The drums and bass are great.
The groove is amazing and hard to create with RealTracks only.
Your vocals fit this song so well.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.
