This song is for us who love to walk in nature, a story of pilgrimage to places we consider holy, where perseverance is rewarded with a magnificent view of beauty in the form of rare species or otherwise comforting sights that make us believe that humankind has not yet managed to destroy all of the finest creations.
Although there are couple of rare living things mentioned in the song, please don't go to these places and ruin their already threatened peace, but rather watch documentaries (or my video) and discover your own special nature sanctuaries. I'm interested in hearing where you would like to go on your nature pilgrimage
Some good documentary references:
I read that Wollemi is an Aboriginal word meaning 'look around you, keep your eyes open and watch out'.
The songwriting process has also been inspired by a couple of our Australian forum members, clues: trees and major to minor change in the bridge
I bought yet another Synthesizer V vocalist, tenor voice Lang Chuan. I didn't expect it to work with this song, I tried it with the verses, but Liam's voice was much better there. But Lang Chuan worked amazingly well in the chorus and in the bridge, so I had to use that voice. Perhaps you don't like the contrast between these voices, but to me it is a huge boosting factor.
AI was used to check the lyrics, I changed couple of words based on its recommendation, but left some clichés and clumsy structures to make sure that the lyrics don't sound AI generated
The video clips were completely AI generated (Nano Banana & Veo Fast), it is amazing that the technology allowed me to implement most of my wild ideas... Nicely I could put myself into the video without going into a jungle, but the character consistency is not 100% perfect. And if you are interested, you can try to find as many AI flaws as possible
The BIAB band was easily built, thanks to the vast selection of instruments, pity there were no new Chinese instruments in 2026 RTs, but I'm happy that the old Dizi Flute and Guzheng still work so well (needed quite much partial regeneration and some Melodyne work).

Lyrics:
[Verse] I may not be here tomorrow but there are still things that I have to know I need to go on my last walk to grasp the world's ache without empty talk ruthless pain I must abide the bitter facts I will face with each stride.
[Chorus] Ash of the past and blisters abound looking for relieving sights to lay the burden down I am approaching the world's final ridge this is my undeterred pilgrimage.
[Verse] Amid the mud of the mangrove I breathe the wild in the smell of a clove. I faintly witness that booming sound I value those who don't want to be found. We are their sole adversary near to extinct are the last cassowaries.
[Chorus] Ash of the past and blisters abound looking for relieving sights to lay the burden down I am approaching the world's final ridge this is my undeterred pilgrimage.
[Verse] Through many canyons and uphills across the rivers that are flowing still. One tiny region survived the heritage of wonders that anciently thrived. I look around me in this shrine I feel the bark of the Wollemi Pine.
[Chorus] Ash of the past and blisters abound looking for relieving sights to lay the burden down I am approaching the world's final ridge this is my undeterred pilgrimage.
[Bridge] We rue the acts of a man we kneel before the last of this land we don't deserve salvation we speak for trees not blessed to talk we don't deserve redemption we pray for plenty in the eye of the hawk.
Hi Janne! A very meaningful song and very thought-provoking. Some good instrumentation choices there (Guzheng, Dili Flute) that created a tropical rainforest vibe to the song. This was very educational as well and I was fascinated by the fauna similarities on the docks between Australia and West Papua (e.g. the wallaby, cassowary) which should be unsurprising given the common historic land connection between these parts of the world.
Very cool video and less clunky than I’ve seen in the past. I’m trying not to think about the electricity and water used in the data centre.
Suffice to say I loved the change to minor for the bridge, and it left a (good) somewhat unresolved feeling to the song, and I interpreted that as supporting the unresolved future of these unique life forms.
Well done, and thank you for putting the spotlight on these things!

You make some of the most creative music. Great song and production - sounds pro. I also love the way you utilized the Dizi Flute in the arrangement. Sounded awesome.
Great song, Janne, very accessible (an accomplishment when someone is as adventurously creative with music as you are) and a memorable chorus. I loved the voices and how they combined, very musical. Believe me, I will never bother a cassowary in my lifetime, they scare me! And I have no desire to traipse throught the mud of a mangrove, that really looks disgusting. Happy to watch documentaries and be done with it, as far as nature is concerned. I have a backyard with birds and small mammals and that is sufficient for me. I don't usually watch videos but I'm glad I did in this instance - that title screen, in particular, was so appealing. It's always a pleasure to hear what your creativity has in store for us. Great work!

Gorgeous song, Janne. Love the lush arrangement and how the vocalists intertwine. Am sure these results are technically challenging to achieve, but they sound natural and effortless. Cool theme. Our natural wonders should indeed be cherished. Top notch stuff.

Oh, you know I live in the choir for this one, Preach. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get much walking in last year, but...
What a terrific song to say what needs so much to be said, Janne. Outstanding in every way. Right from concept to this extraordinary mix, you are the master of creation --about creation.
Love the video too.
Enjoy whatever happens! marty

Thanks Andrew for your heartwarming review Glad that you liked the instruments and had time to educate yourself with those documentaries.
Good that you mention the data centres... yes It is contradictory that bringing out the state of nature consumes so many natural resources, although hopefully mostly solar energy. My big wish is of course that my AI videos have stronger impact on nature conservation...
I'm happy that you accepted my change to minor, as you know, you are the teacher of this little nicety I like your interpretation, unresolved future, yes, and the bridge is also a prayer for a longlasting survival - and then the outro is for the successful pilgrimage - the hope is still alive.
I think our -15C is slightly better thing than your 43C at least from walking outside point of view (I spent almost 8 hours out today, at least it is possible to put almost enough clothes on)
You make some of the most creative music. Great song and production - sounds pro. I also love the way you utilized the Dizi Flute in the arrangement. Sounded awesome.
Excellent!
Bob
Thanks Bob for your kindest words And thanks to BIAB for the Dizi Flute,
A beautiful song about the place where I write most of my songs, somewhere out in the woods (though not in the mangroves), all alone with myself and my dog. Your vocal arrangement gives the piece an almost operatic atmosphere in places, and I really like what you did with your four singers. Very good
Janne, a fantastic song about a very important topic, protecting the earth.
Before my wife had her accident we used to walk a lot. Nothing upsets me more than to be on a nature trail and see liter, i.e. cans, bottles, cigarette packages and butts, etc.
An excellent production.

Thanks TM for your pleasant and insightful feedback Glad you loved the voices. Yep, a cassowary can be taller than a man and it has been said that it's the world's most dangerous bird, so better be scared

Thanks DC Ron for your positive feedback Very nice to hear that you loved the vocalist intertwining, I was bit worried that it wouldn't work so well.
You know that we love the topic of your song and your production for both the song and the video are excellent.
With the vocalists you chose the choruses and bridge sound magestic.
Once again you’ve assembled an interesting and enjoyable band too.
The wollimi pine documentary is fascinating and reminds us of what a brief time we are here. The cassoweries were amazing and the doc did a good job of showing our connectedness.
On that note (pun intended) we’re going for a hike in the woods!
Well done and we enjoyed it all!

Love the video too.
Thanks Marty for your kind and heartwarming words Well, I'm not the master of creation, I'm just an avid admirer of the true master.
You did a wonderful job with making this song. I wrote on your YT channel that in a way its classical, but also contemporary. That's the feeling your AI vocals achieved here. And I agree with all the compliments the forum members gave to you! It must have been some challenge to create this song and let all the AI vocals listen to you. So, a great song!!!
Wow! What an amazing work. You are truly a highly creative inventor when it comes to writing, arranging and producing music. This is first-class listening. I love your choice of voices and choice of instruments. Simply stunning. I also really like the major-to-minor key change. And using the more classic-voice sounding Lang Chuan vocals with the chorus was an excellent idea. The two different voices worked well together because of the way you arranged them. It felt like they belonged together.
This is quite an amazing musical journey and definitely a creation to be proud of. --Noel
P.S. I was super-impressed that you chose to be inspired by Australia. Mind you, I'm a bit biased because I happen to think that I live in one of the best countries on Earth.
Nice work with the instrumentation, especially that piano. Your lyrics are really good, especially the chorus. Speaking of the chorus, it has a theatrical sound to it. The wind instrument (dizi flute?) sounded cool.
You have produced an extraordinarily beautiful and important body of work. The protection of Flora and Fauna is vitally important and you are helping to spread this message via your vastly huge talent. Bravo. Izzy

Thanks Mario for your lovely feedback Yep, the most pleasant places in nature are those where there are no signs of human activity.
As B.D. said, Lang Chuan has an operatic sound, giving the chorus a different flavor.
And the solo instruments also helped give it a distinct sound.
Thanks David for your kind comment Isn't it nice to have wide variety of Synth V voices I was happy to find a suitable role for Lang Chuan immediately, but there are voices I've almost never used...

Yep, never been in Australia, but I admire Australia and its nature, because it is so different and diverse. And I agree that it is one of the best countries on Earth, because you and many other talented BIAB users come from there And I've listened to bands like Crowded House, Men at Work and Wolfmother...
You are such a pro at developing a great melody and unique chord patterns that keep the listener involved! It's a great song that has been produced in a quality manner! Loved that flute section! Great job!

Thanks ES for your heartwarming comment Glad you liked the lyrics, it is usually the hardest part of the musical journey and it is worth it when I get so nice feedback. And thanks to BIAB for the dizi flute, I wish there were more these world instruments.
