Hi!

although the last entry in this thread is dated quite a while ago, but since this thread is still sticky, I'd like to add my wishes for the piano roll:

The option to turn the roll by 90 degrees, and that the piano keys light up for the nexts coming notes - roughly explained.

So the piano roll could be used as a vertical note highway (notes fall down onto the keyboard) like in Synthesia. Mainly for the piano, keyboards and such, but also for many other instruments this would be very useful (I have even already practiced the drums with Synthesia, which is fun because of the specific view onto the relations between the rhythms of the different drumset pieces).

And in particular for all bad sightreaders this would be even more useful.

Specifically for the bass, I'd wish a bass fretboard instead of a piano on the bottom of the roll, with coloured strings and matching colours of the "falling notes" according to the bass tab - just as you can find this in Rocksmith or in ToneLib Jam.
(And Guitar players might be happy about 6 stings, accordingly.)
