Hey guys,
I haven't posted any music for awhile. I've been working with mostly AI recordings these days but I thought I would post today. Today my dear friend and writing partner Martin "Buddy" Sutton was laid to rest in his hometown of Waterford, Ireland. Buddy had battled cancer awhile and died on January 2nd. We wrote songs together off and on for the last 18 years and I shall miss him. I've posted many of our songs on this forum. Today, I'm posting the first and last songs we wrote together. The first is called "May God's Blessing Rest On You" https://soundclick.com/song/15175387 and the last one is a bouncy folk/rock number entitled "He Climbed That Hilltop" https://soundclick.com/song/15132383 If you should choose to listen to one or both I would appreciate it as a tribute to a wonderful gentleman, a prolific poet and lyricist who had written award winning poems and songs in his native land of Ireland. May he rest in peace.
So...if you do...thanks for listening...Dan

PS. There's a playlist of some of our songs at: https://www.soundclick.com/firesong/?content=playlists&id=1686

Oh, Dan, you are a very special friend. We all say sorry for your loss, but we also say so happy for the gain you two experienced. You two have written some terrific songs that inspire so many --in fact any fortune enough to hear them. Love these two you posted. Of course, I've heard many others and will continue, but it's cool having your alpha and omegas together.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Sorry for your loss. What a pair of lovely song. Excellent work on the vocal and backtrack. Such a cool listen. May God's Blessing Rest On You sounded so personal. He Climbed That Hilltop would fit into a movie production. Well done..

There are two very good songs. The flute parts on the first are particularly well done. The vocals on the second are excellent. It's a very beautiful tribute to your friend.

Hi Dan!
I listened to both tracks. What a wonderful blessing it is for you to have a friend with things in common - your faith and your love of music. I pray that even though you experience the loss of Buddy, your times in collaboration and friendship are memories that will warm your heart and soften the loss.
