Hi Floyd
Man, this track’s got attitude. You can feel the heart in the lyrics — that tattoo line? Killer. Raw, funny, real. You went through the breakup purge: clothes, mugs, CDs, even the damn crochet yarn — we’ve all been there. But that ink? Nah, that’s forever. Great storytelling.
Love the energy — uptempo, punchy, and your vocal’s solid. Yeah, it’s got that classic vibe which don’t go outta style. And props for the LCR panning setup — really opens up the mix, gives each guitar its own space. Feels wide, alive, like you’re in the room with the band.
BIAB might be your engine, but you’re drivin’ this one with purpose. Only nit? Fade-outs still feel like dodgin’ the final chord… but hey, just me being overly salty.
Yet another great song Floyd. You’ve got a voice, a story, and the chops to back it up. Always good to hear your sound on the feed.
best regards
Izzy

Floyd, I loved the original version but you took it up about 10 notches. A lot more drive. Temporary country at its best. Loved it. Thanks, Mario... Some of the cleverest lyrics I've seen. The verses so expertly set up the clincher chorus. And fun. The title instantly caught my attention. Mix and mastering sound right on. Much appreciated, Scott...

Very witty, Floyd. I often wonder what people do with tattoos of old boy/girl friends. Loved the fact that you worked in the line about the yoga mat. The song makes me wanna dance. Love you voice, man. So good.

Hi floyd.
I remember this one. It is a terrific write and a really fine production. You really have a flair for creative and timeless lyrics and super-duper productions. I listened to both versions and I like both versions. Good luck with your album. You deserve all the recognition and acclaim that I'm pretty sure will come your way.
--Noel Thanks, Noel. I have to tell ya...I really miss your presence (on a regular basis) here in the Showcase. Remember those days when there were only about 7 or 8 of us hanging out here? Good that it "exploded", of course. But also good that there are some good people who have been constants through all the comings-and-goings.... Floyd. As usual, excellent write, vocals and production. Great hook. I really like this one. Thanks, Paul...appreciate that... I found your OP, Floyd, and I seem to remember the backstory.
Excellent song, performance, and production. Dig all of those guitars driving this track. The remaster sounds great. Yeah, Brent is the 'the man,' but you're pretty dang good yourself.
Good luck with your project. Thanks, Scott. Good to see ya back around...been a while....

Hey Floyd,
I'm pretty sure I remember this song from way back when I first joined.
Your songs have been making me smile and tap my toes for a mighty long time now and I appreciate all the great songs and all the good times listening to them, and watching you pop these things out.
There's a lot of great music going on around this forum these days!
Happy holidays man! Thanks, David. Same to ya. Good luck with your album! This song is a very good choice for it, nice rocker with clever lyrics, catchy chorus and strong vocals. LOTS of guitars - and they work together like a live rock band. I think doing yoga would make you forget the tattoo (and suffering) Janne Thanks, Janne...my wife was a yoga instructor and built & owned a yoga studio for 12 years (then sold it). I hate doing yoga.... We like the remastered version - it sounds brighter or has more pop or whatever the proper term is. Thoughtful mastering can accomplish so much … we enjoy going back also. The imagery throughout the home was very vivid. When these lines came we both smiled at the thought of the yarn all over the place! “whatever that was in your crochet bin, one night I unraveled till I reached the end” Masterful use of the BiaB Wrecking Crew and, yep, that Brent guy nailed it. And, needless to say your vocal is outstanding. Then and now. Enjoyed it and we look forward to the vanity album! J&B Much appreciated guys!

Not my favourite kind of music, but so well produced and real vocals that I regard this a great one in it's category. Thanks, Brno. Floyd,
It seems that I remember this one! Great songs like this stick in the mind for a while! Boy, you sure did dial in a super sound on this "Album" ready and worthy tune! Your superior vocal talent really shines on this as well as the tasteful use of background vocals! You never cease to inspire and amaze this old wanna be singer-songwriter!
Take care, TB Thanks, Torrey.... floyd,
The charm of your songwriting and vocals is explosive. It's a very powerful rock song. The lyrics are easy to understand and really capture the heart. I sincerely hope that the album will be completed soon. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.
Shigeki Adachi Shigeki Adachi - Thanks for your continued support... Wow. I'm blown away by this song. The lyrics (so poignant), and a story that is masterfully sung, together with a great backing band. Should be on radio stations everywhere. Very nice of you to say, Brian... What a cool driving song Floyd. So much energy. Awesome vocal and lyric. And that backing band. Such a cool production. Well done Thanks, Scott....

Izzy Izzy - thanks for the nice comments. In this case, I thought a long fade was just-the-right-thing - like a tattoo.... Very witty, Floyd. I often wonder what people do with tattoos of old boy/girl friends. Loved the fact that you worked in the line about the yoga mat. The song makes me wanna dance. Love you voice, man. So good. Thanks, Beth....

floyd...brilliant write as usual and a super mix...your use of Brent is what made it work...it was seamless and feels like he walked into the studio and laid down the tracks for you...your lyrics are always conversational and "seem" effortless and the marriage between them and the melody work flawlessly together...more than well done!
